Photographic and video recordings
-
Audio, film and photographic recordings are only permitted in the courtroom before the start of proceedings or the pronouncement of decisions and after their end. Persons not belonging to the Court are prohibited from making recordings while the Court is in session.
-
In specific cases, the competent senate can allow audio, film and television recordings to be made during the pronouncement of the judgment - but not during the oral hearing (s. 169 German Courts Constitution Act). This requires an admission decision by the senate. In order to obtain such a decision, you are requested to notify the press office in good time, i.e. at least two weeks before the hearing, of your intention to make recordings. In case of admission, the hearing list will show the camera icon. Accreditation is required. It may be necessary to establish a media pool.
-
Persons are not permitted behind the judge's bench.
